How do I connect my device and install BroadStreamTV?
- Connect your streaming device to an HDMI port.
- Plug in power and turn on your TV.
- Connect to your home BroadStar WiFi or Ethernet.
- Install or open the BroadStreamTV app.
- Sign in using your Subscriber Name & Subscriber Password.

When I’m watching live tv, how do I change channels without using the guide?
Use the Up/Down navigation buttons on your remote to move one channel at a time.
You can also press Select to open options, including a numeric keypad overlay.
How do I view information about the current program?
Press Select while watching TV to open the program card showing:
Title
Start/End Time
Options like View Channel, Restart, Record, Autotune, and Closed Captions.
Hold Left to access Recently Watched channels.
What is the Channel Guide and how do I open it?
Press the Right navigation button to open the menu, then select Guide.
You can:
Tune to Live TV
Record movies or episodes
Set Autotune reminders
What is RePlay TV?
RePlay TV lets you restart live programs from the beginning and view previously aired shows where supported.
Accessible via:
Guide → select past program
Menu → RePlay TV
How do I record live TV or future programs?
From Live TV:
Press Select → Record (REC icon).
From the Guide:
Hold Select on a program → choose Record Program or Record Series.
You can adjust options like:
“New only”
Episode limits
Start early / stop late offsets (up to +30 / +45 minutes)
How do I watch or manage my recordings?
Go to Menu → Recordings to see:
My Series
Latest
Expiring Soon
Single Recordings
You can Play, Delete, Modify, or Cancel Series.
Recordings auto-delete after six months
How do I search for shows or movies?
Open Menu → Search and type any title, keyword, or name.
Results show:
Live TV
Upcoming
RePlay
Recordings
Can I use voice search on my remote?
Yes, but only on Android TV devices.
Example commands:
“Tune to channel name”
“Open guide”
“Restart Program”
“Closed Captions On”
How do I create a Favorites list?
- Go to Settings → Favorites.
- Select Create Favorite List and name it.
- Check channels to add/remove them. To quickly switch to Favorites view in the guide, hold the Back button.
What is Autotune and how do I set it?
Autotune automatically switches your TV to a future program when it begins.
From the Guide:
Highlight a future program → select Autotune → choose Program or Series → Confirm.
How do I cancel Autotune?
Go to Settings → Autotune Lists, find the event, and uncheck it.
You can also cancel Autotune by selecting any airing of that program in the guide.
How do I turn closed captions on/off?
While watching TV:
1. Press Select
2. Choose the CC Icon
Long-press Select while CC is highlighted for additional options like:
Caption size
Style
Background type (transparent or black)
Where can I see the weather on BroadStreamTV?
Go to Menu → Weather to view a 6–10 day forecast, highs/lows, and icons.
